Q. When did you start drawing?
I've been drawing ever since I was about 3 or 4 years old. I can remember tracing the letters at the top of the page that said "COMICS" from the Sunday paper.
Q. Where does your inspiration come from?
I'm always seeing things around me and I think to myself "I should draw that"...so it's a continuous thing. I always have more ideas than time to draw them.
Q. Did you always know you wanted to be an artist? Or did you have other ideas to be something else???
I've always wanted to be an artist but while I was raising my kids I had to have a steady guaranteed income so it wasn't until my kids were grown up that I was able to focus more on drawing.
Q. How much work and time goes into doing a book?
The drawing of the pages is the easy part....it's all the other things that go into actually getting it into book form that take the most time for me. There is a lot of fine-tuning and computer work involved in getting a book published.
Q. Do you ever color any of your images?
Yes, I try to color each one simply because I generally draw things that I'd like to color. By coloring the images I've drawn it also helps me improve on my drawings....I usually find something that I could have done better or differently.
Q. Any plans for more books in the future???
Yes, I'm working on an "Any Year Coloring Calendar" a the moment, as well as a book that is camping themed ~ all kinds of retro campers as well as tents and other things related to camping.
Q. What has been your personal experience in the adult coloring world as a artist?
I've found that every day is a learning experience ~ there is always lots to learn and I've learned a lot from other artists as well. I've had such a positive experience from those who have purchased my books as well.
